Exciting news! A $430M investment is on the way, focused on upgrading America’s hydropower infrastructure, ensuring a cleaner future for our planet while protecting thousands of jobs.
How will this impact the future? The future is clean energy- and these incentives help protect the climate by investing in our earliest form of renewable energy – hydropower, which accounts for nearly 27% of renewable electricity generation in the US. This will also help protect the jobs of over 6,000 people!
From AST’s perspective, awarding these incentives requires a tremendous amount of work for a small hydropower team at the Grid Deployment Office. The AST team and our partners work diligently to review applications and comb through various data, ultimately to help push these investment dollars out the door to hundreds of hydropower facilities across America.
