AST PROUDLY ACHIEVES RE-APPRAISAL AT CMMI LEVEL 3
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Allegheny Science & Technology (AST), a Woman-Owned Small Business(WOSB) specializing in technology and energy solutions, announced today that it has been re-appraised at CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® level 3.

CMMI® is a process improvement and assessment framework which provides organizations with the essential elements of effective procedures that are used to benchmark and ultimately improve program performance. The appraisal also validates that an organization’s processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, tools and methods — to
deliver enduring value via end-to-end process-driven business solutions. “Achieving the re-appraisal for CMMI® level 3 signifies another major milestone that demonstrates AST’s commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality and standards,” said Arria Hines, CEO of AST. “Maintaining certifications like CMMI® level 3 is a core component of our continuous process improvement program and among the many things that we do to evaluate and advance our own technical performance.” The CMMI ® level 3 appraisal was successfully completed by Leadership Consulting, LLC. AST
initially achieved CMMI® level 3 in 2016.
